2022 MLB odds, picks, bets for Friday, July 8 from proven model: This four-way parlay pays well over 16-1

The Seattle Mariners try to stay red hot and the New York Yankees seek to maintain their dominance of their AL East rivals as part of Friday's 15-game MLB schedule. The Mariners have won five straight and eight of their last nine, including an 8-3 victory against the Blue Jays on Thursday. They face off again Friday in Seattle at 10:10 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the Yankees took a 6-5 victory against the Red Sox in their series opener Thursday, New York's ninth win in its past 11 against Boston. Now they are set to start left-hander Nestor Cortes (7-3, 2.44 ERA) against Red Sox righty Connor Seabold (0-1, 8.31 ERA) as Boston battles major injury issues in their rotation.

First pitch for the Yankees vs. Red Sox game is set for 7:10 p.m. ET. Caesars Sportsbook lists New York as a -160 favorite in its latest Red Sox vs. Yankees odds, with Boston the +135 underdog. SportsLine Projection Model is really high on the Brewers (-225) to beat the Pirates (8:10 p.m. ET), with Milwaukee winning in well over 70 percent of simulations. The Brewers have won eight of the 10 matchups this year, and the Pittsburgh bullpen, which wasn't very good to begin with, is going to be gassed. Pittsburgh is 29th in MLB in bullpen ERA (4.78) and 28th in WHIP (1.41), and the relievers allowed 12 runs in three innings against the Yankees on Wednesday night.

The Pirates then played a doubleheader Thursday, splitting with the Reds, before traveling to Milwaukee. JT Brubaker (2-7, 4.28 ERA) is expected to start for the Pirates opposite Aaron Ashby (1-6, 4.60), so this could be a slugfest. That gives the Brewers the advantage, as they score almost a full run more per game (4.6-3.7) and are fourth in MLB in home runs. Rowdy Tellez (17 homers) and Willy Adames (16) have been mashing and could go off Friday night.
