Saturday brings a four-game schedule in the 2022 MLB postseason, and three teams are in win-or-go-home situations, including the defending World Series champions and the regular season's best team. The Braves, Dodgers and Mariners all need wins on Saturday to keep their seasons alive, while the Phillies, Padres and Astros, respectively, are looking to punch their tickets to the LCS round. The Yankees and Guardians, meanwhile, are meeting in a pivotal ALDS Game 3 with their series tied, 1-1.
The Phillies and Padres both picked up home wins on Friday to push the National League's top two regular-season teams to the brink. The Braves and Dodgers combined for 212 wins in the regular season, but now must both win on the road Saturday to keep their seasons going.
These playoffs began with 12 teams, but the Mets, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Rays were eliminated last weekend in the Wild Card Series. The top two teams in each league (the Astros and Yankees in the American League and the Dodgers and Braves in the National League) received byes and started their postseason journeys in the LDS round on Tuesday. With the Wild Card Series in the books, the playoffs resemble their traditional selves: a best-of-five Division Series and then best-of-seven League Championship Series before the best-of-seven World Series.
Below you'll find the schedule and results for every round of the postseason.
