Canada fell just off the podium at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup, losing to Australia in the bronze-medal game.
Aussie legend Lauren Jackson poured in 30 points for the tournament hosts, leading the team to a resounding 95-65 victory on Saturday.
With the loss and fourth-place finish, Canada missed its chance to match a program-best result. Canada has captured bronze twice at the event, most recently in 1986.
More to come.
