Paul Scholes has been named manager of League Two club Oldham Athletic.
The former Manchester United and England midfielder, 44, has taken his first managerial role with the club he supported as a boy.
There were concerns that his 10% stake in Salford City, the National League club he co-owns, would prevent him from taking charge of the Latics.
However, he was cleared to do so on Friday following an English Football League meeting.
