Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill isn't heading to the Super Bowl after last week's AFC Championship loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but he's still living his best life ahead of Sunday's Pro Bowl in Las Vegas. The speedy receiver challenged Usain Bolt to a race and doused himself with beer at Saturday's NHL All-Star game, also in Vegas this year.
The viral moment occurred during a mid-game interview, as Hill poked at Bolt before admitting "there is one more thing I want to do before I leave this game." Hill proceeded to give himself a "Stone Cold" Steve Austin-style beer shower with what looked to be a pair of Budweiser cans.
"I feel great, baby," Hill said after his beer shower. "Go Chiefs."
As if the beer shower and Bolt call-out and weren't enough for one clip, Nashville's Roman Josi scored a goal for the Central team amid it all.
Hill and Bolt – an eight-time Olympic gold-medalist sprinter from Jamaica – have been needling each other for a while now over who's faster. Bolt told "The Pat McAfee Show" Hill had "no chance" to win a race against him last July, prompting a harsh response from Hill the following day.
"Usain Bolt got out of the game for a reason, right?" Hill told reporters. "He's old, he's washed up, and he can't see me in 40 yards. 100-yard dash, yes, that's what he do. But 40-yard dash, according to this, Usain Bolt, you cannot see me."
The race between Hill and Bolt has yet to take place, but Hill tested his speed against three of his NFL counterparts as part of the Pro Bowl festivities on Thursday. It didn't exactly go well for the man whose Twitter handle is cheetah.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons blew by Hill to win the race, and the other two competitors – Browns running back Nick Chubb and Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs – finished well before the Chiefs receiver as well. In fairness, though, Hill seemed to have jogged.
Hill can reintroduce his game-breaking speed to the world – including Bolt – during Sunday's Pro Bowl, which is set to take place at 3 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.
